Happy Birthday Tess, Nora and Holden!!

In typical fashion, I procrastinated posting an update for two months and then overloaded the server with pictures, LOL.  I’m not exactly the best person to be picking pictures since I think every single one is so stinkin’ cute it’s share-worthy, so here are the most cutest pictures from (gasp!) February, each with their own caption, of course!  I’m going to hold off on stories until the March update, which should (hopefully?!) be done this weekend.  No promises though!  LOL!  : )

Mr. Trouble figuring out how to climb onto the toybox, which eventually led him OVER the toybox. The can was full but closed, and somehow he knew what to do with it. If this can was turned around I'd be begging Coke for a product placement ad. Holden, the only one of the trio who pretends to be on the phone. He LOVES it! Holding the phone up to his ear-area again. Gwen with her "backpack" like Dora. Except this backpack is really a Halloween pumpkin meant for Trick or Treating, LOL He flipped the Sing Along Stage upside down so he could use it as a step stool. How can I get mad at him when he's so damn proud of himself? Oh, but I do... LOL Pulling out the toy bins to scale them so he can reach what's on top of the toy chests. L-R: Nora, a very unhappy Tess, and Holden, all fighting over a book. This one cracks me up - something about the way Holden is all up in Nora's face like, "What are you doing?" and she's just like, "Oh my God; leave me alone!" Gwen, on her tippy toes doing her ballerina dance. So he bridged tha gap using his body. Completely fearless... After the fall, which we all saw coming Instead of climbing onto the kitchen, he found his way onto the couch. Greeeaat... gwen, passed out during lunch - AGAIN - this time with her cup centered on her bologna. After she emptied out the shelf she decided to climb in... ... and get stuck. And the crying begins. Babies babies everywhere... Nora in pink, Tess and Holden Nora yelling with excitement Climbing again... she's getting brave! L-R: Holden, Nora & Tess In yet ANOTHER effort to contain Holden while I innevitably had to leave the room, I pulled out the jumperoo to contain him. He HATED it, but the girls loved swarming him. Nora's in pink. Mr. Climber first climbed onto the toy chest, then onto the ottoman, then onto the tote full of afghans, to get into the dry sink. As you can see he's QUITE proud of himself. If you can't climb ON it, climb IN it. Gwen and Tess watch. I'm not sure if he was trying to climb out or pull the cover down but he did get himself stuck... Here's the stuck photo. After he mastered climbing onto the toy box, he moved on to using it as a step-stool to get into the recliner and bother Gwen. Gwen and her very first real snowman!!! Taking the buttons off; because as soon as she finished him she wanted to put him away (OCD!) IMG_9927 IMG_9928 Hot cocoa after playing in the snow. YUM! Tess and Holden in the toy box. I realized I had never taken a picture with all three of the babies so in honor of their birthday I decided to do it. It was quite the process. Here they are (L-R: Tess, Holden, Nora), still somewhat happyish. Starting to get antsy... Not so happy anymore. Let me down!!! I hate sitting with Mommy when I don't want to! TLS (That Little Shit) Holden, watching Blue's Clues from the superior vantage point. If your sister (Nora) won't get off your Tonka truck, shove her. In the face is most effective. Holden, more than proud of himself. Again.

Here are the pictures from their very first birthday!!!  It was a great, though intimate family-only, celebration.  The pictures are way cute, so enjoy!  Who doesn’t love pictures of little kids covered in cake???  : )

The completed cupcake tower. Yes, I made the jumbo cupcakes myself (no, not from scratch - I'm not a total glutton for punnishment - Betty Crocker gave me a hand), and frosted them with a pastry bag, the first time I have ever done anything with a pastry bag. Not too shabby! Smash cupcakes on top; one for each! (Oh yeah; and I colored the frosting myself, too!!) In natural light; which helps show off the colored sugar I put on them. Cool, artsy, aerial view. We got Gwen a special tiara so she wouldn't feel completely left out. She hated it, LOL! Holden with the presentsNo matter how hard we tried Gwen squeaked her way into "helping" to unwrap the presents that weren't hers. (L-R: Nora, Tess, Gwen & Holden) More unwrapping and cuteness. Tess (L - I think? LOL; that's what I get for dressing them alike I guess) and Nora unwrapping their gifts from Mom & Dad. Holden, tearing into his racetrack present from Mommy & Daddy. Holden; he really got into unwrapping!IMG_0050 My brother Russell, giving Holden a little help. Holden NOW Nora wants to get in on the fun. If you can't unwrap it, climb it! IMG_0063 Climb it and then unwrap it from there.

Ready for cake, party hats and all the adorableness that comes along with 1st birthdays! Holden with a frosting goatee. Nora was more interested in Holden's cupcake. She always is more interested in his food. Tess' turn to attack Holden's food. Nora, who really wasn't that into the cake mess. IMG_0103 Tess Tess Gwen really only licked the cupcake clean; I'm not sure if she even ate any of the cake. Tony's trying to get Nora into eating... Messy Man loved his sweet treat! Nora Nora, the cupcake monster! Got it! Cupcake Monster want more! UM, UM, UM, UM!!!! Nora & Holden Holden, with an eye full of cupcake. Again, I LOVE this picture. So sweet. So messy. Winding down... and ready for clean up! Baths and brooms, here we come!

Oh my gosh, these pictures are great! I can't believe it's already been almost a month since their birthday! It was so much fun to see them all again at Easter! We had a great time. Loved seeing everyone! Thanks for posting these pictures. I know I'm so out of it, not being on myspace or facebook. Meagan is always telling me how "OLD" I am!! We love you guys! Take care till next time!
