March Madness
I don’t remember much about March, except a lot of new teeth and a new venue to hang out in (so long basement, hellllooooo porch!). The trio had their 12 month well visit and they are all doing awesome! Well, besides the 4 shots a piece and blood draws for lead screening and iron stores, ick! On the other hand, we have big, healthy babies! We got the go-ahead to start Tess and Nora on whole milk, but Holden has to stay on formula until further notice. It seems that while he has grown, he's fallen off his growth curve. Our pedi thinks he is just due for a growth spurt so she wants to have his height and weight checked in 2 months to make sure he's spurted. While we were reviewing his chart it seems that his growth always goes up, then plateaus, then jumps up, then plateaus, and so on, so it is probably just the way he grows and no big deal at all. She thinks the formula will just help give him the extra calories and nutrition he needs to get through the growth spurt easily. She did note that both the girls' have weirdness when they walk, which surprised me. Nora arches for balance, but she said a lot of kids do that until they are seasoned walkers. Tess would only take small shuffle-steps, so the pedi brought her out in the hallway to let her run, but of course she didn't. So no biggie there either apparently, she just made note of it, said something about Tess' hips. Holden is fairly pigeon-toed, but she seemed to think that he would grow out of that, and as he stood more and his bones hardened up his bowed legs and pigeon-toes would self-correct. Here are their stats, for those that are interested:
Tess is 21 lb, 9 oz (57th %) / 2' 6.5" (88th %) / 46 cm head circumference (75th %)
Nora is 21 lb, 13 oz (61st %) / 2' 6" (76th %) / 46 cm head circumference (75th %)
Holden is 20 lb, 2 oz (12th %) / 2' 4.5" (11th %) / 47 cm head circumference (67th %)
Each of them has tripled their weight and height since birth, which is exactly where they should be.
Tess is starting to babble A LOT, and starting to try to form words, and copy us when we say things. She did say her first real word, one that blew us away as it was a two syllable, 7 letter word…
Without further ado, here they are… 80 pictures this time; out of ~600. Let’s get to it, since that’s what you all really want, and the faster I get this post finished the more quickly I can move onto catching up on the rest of Spring, LOL!
